Our brains are not meant to be happy. Evolution rewarded brain-functions like identifying risks, fighting and fleeing.It was not meant to stay calm facing stress. Nowadays, you would stay right there at your workplace or in a meeting and you neither fight or fly, but smile, be solution-oriented and friendly.

It takes training to re-wire our brain to function in a way that is more suitable to modern conditions in which we exchanged tomahawks and caves to smartphones and offices. But it can be done. Neuroscientists, Positive Psychologists and Happiness Economists figured out what needs to be done in certain areas of our lives to positively influence our hormone levels. This targeted hormone generation leads to certain emotions and can be triggered by specific actions we can perform throughout our working day So, let's work for Happiness!
